Ingredients
Meatball mixture
- Chicken mince 500 grams
- Onion 1 small, finely chopped
- Ginger paste 1/2 tsp
- Garlic paste 1/2 tsp
- Dried fenugreek 1 tbsp
- Salt 1/2 tbsp
- Red chili powder 1/2 tbsp
- Turmeric powder 1/2 tbsp
- Cumin powder 3/4 tbsp
- Egg 1
- Breadcrumbs 4-5 tbsp
Gravy
- Onion 1 big size, chopped
- Ginger paste 1 tbsp
- Garlic paste 1 tbsp
- Tomatoes 2 big
- Salt to taste
- Red chili powder 1/2 tsp
- Kashmiri red chili powder (or paprika powder) 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder 2 tsp
- Dried fenugreek 1/2 tsp
- Yogurt 6 tbsp
- Tomato paste 3 tbsp (optional)
- Garam masala 1/2 tsp
Preparation
- Meatballs: Mix all the ingredients of meatballs and keep aside for 10 minutes until the breadcrumbs absorb all the moisture from the mixture.
- Shape into 15-16 meatballs.
- Gravy: Heat oil in a pot and add Chopped onions. Cook until golden in color.
- Add ginger and garlic paste and sauté until aromatic.
- Blend tomatoes with a little water into a paste and add to the gravy. Add salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and dried fenugreek. Cover and allow to cook on low flame until the oil separates from the gravy.
- Now add yogurt and tomato paste and cook again for 5 minutes, covered and on low flame.
- Now add meatballs and cover again and cook on low flame for 8-10 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked.
- Lastly, add garam masala and mix. Serve hot with boiled rice or roti. Enjoy!
