Ingredients
- Oil 4-5 tbsp
- Cumin seeds 1 tsp
- Garlic 2 tsp, chopped
- Onion 1 big, chopped
- Potatoes 3 big, peeled and cut into big chunks
- Chopped Green beans 2 cups (350-400 grams)
- Salt to taste
- Red chili powder 1 tsp or to taste
- Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder 1 tsp
- Fresh coriander 4-5 tbsp, chopped
- Green chilies 3-4
- Garam masala 1 tsp
Preparation
- Heat oil in a cooking pot and add cumin seeds and garlic.
- Once aromatic, add onions and cook until they start to turn golden.
- Add potatoes and cook for a minute.
- Add green beans along with salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder and coriander powder.
- Mix and add 1-2 tbsp of water.
- Mix, turn the flame to lowest, cover and cook for 10-12 minutes or until the beans and potatoes are ready.
- Add fresh coriander, green chilies and garam masala.
- Give a stir and serve hot with roti or paratha. Enjoy!
Aloo Phali ki Sabzi (Potato and Long Bean Curry)
