Apple Cinnamon Breakfast Donuts

Ingredients

  • Apples 2 medium, peeled and chopped
  • Instant oats 1 + 1/4 cups
  • Eggs 2
  • Baking powder 1.5 tsp
  • Cinnamon powder 1 tsp
  • Milk 1/4 cup
  • Honey 1-2 tbsp (or use sugar)

Topping

  • Cream cheese
  • Chocolate spread

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C using upper and lower rod.
  2. In a small bowl add chopped apples and microwave for 1-2 minutes or more if needed, until the apples are soft.
  3. Mash the apples and allow to come to room temperature.
  4. Grind the instant oats into powder. Add the oats powder to a bowl.
  5. Add eggs, baking powder, cinnamon powder, honey, milk and apple puree.
  6. Mix everything and if tge batter is too thick add some more milk.
  7. Transfer to donut moulds and bake at 180°C for 15-18 minutes using upper ans lower rods until tooth pick comes out clean.
  8. Serve with cream cheese and chocolate spread.
  9. Enjoy!
