Baisan ki Roti
Ingredients
- Gram flour 2 cups
- Wheat flour 1.5 cups
- Onion 1 big, thinly sliced
- Ginger paste 1/2 tsp
- Garlic paste 1/2 tsp
- Green chili 1-2, sliced
- Fresh coriander 1 handful, chopped
- Ajwain (Carom seeds) 1/4 tbsp
- Coriander seeds 1 tbsp
- Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
- Dried fenugreek 3/4 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Red chili powder to taste
- Garam masala 3/4 tbsp
- Chat masala 1/2 tbsp
- Water for kneading
Preparation
- Mix baisan and wheat flour and add all the ingredients.
- Mix and star kneading by adding little water.
- Knead into a hard dough. Soft dough will be very sticky and difficult to work with.
- Cover and allow to sit for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Now shape into balls and roll into a roti.
- Cook on tawa using a little oil or desi ghee.
