Baisan ki Roti

Ingredients

  • Gram flour 2 cups
  • Wheat flour 1.5 cups
  • Onion 1 big, thinly sliced
  • Ginger paste 1/2 tsp
  • Garlic paste 1/2 tsp
  • Green chili 1-2, sliced
  • Fresh coriander 1 handful, chopped
  • Ajwain (Carom seeds) 1/4 tbsp
  • Coriander seeds 1 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
  • Dried fenugreek 3/4 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chili powder to taste
  • Garam masala 3/4 tbsp
  • Chat masala 1/2 tbsp
  • Water for kneading

Preparation

  1. Mix baisan and wheat flour and add all the ingredients.
  2. Mix and star kneading by adding little water.
  3. Knead into a hard dough. Soft dough will be very sticky and difficult to work with.
  4. Cover and allow to sit for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  5. Now shape into balls and roll into a roti.
  6. Cook on tawa using a little oil or desi ghee.
  7. Enjoy with my Spciy lehsun Chutney!
