Ingredients
- Milk 1 L
- Custard powder 2 tbsp heaped
- Sugar 4 tbsp
- Saffron strands 8-10 (optional)
- Almonds 1 tbsp, chopped
- Pistachio 1 tbsp, chopped
Milk Cream spread
- Sugar 1 tbsp
- Milk powder 2 tbsp
- Fresh cream 2 tbsp

Preparation
- In a bowl add a little milk from 1 L and mix sugar and custard powder in it.
- Add the rest of the milk, saffron strands, almonds, and pistachios and cook, stirring continuously until thickened. Turn the flame off.
- To make the milk cream spread add sugar, milk powder and fresh cream in a bowl and mix until smooth.
- Remove the crust of the bread slices and cut each slice in 4 square pieces.
- Take one bread piece and apply milk cream spread on it. Place another piece on it to make a sandwich. Repeat for all bread pieces. If any spread is left, add it to the custard and mix. No need to cook again.
- In the serving dish, add a thin layer of custard and arrange bread sandwiches on it.
- Pour remaining custard on the bread pieces.
- Garnish with pistachios and rose buds.
- Refrigerate before serving.
