Café Style Oreo Bars
Ingredients
- Light brown sugar 1/2 cup
- Granulated sugar 1/4 cup
- Oil 1/2 cup
- Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
- Egg 1 large
- Milk 1/2 cup
- All-purpose flour 1+1/4 cups
- Unsweetened cocoa powder 1/3 cup
- Baking soda 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt 1/4 teaspoon
- White chocolate chips 1/2 cup
- Oreo cookies 6, chopped
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease an 8×10” baking pan and line with parchment paper.
- Mix and salt in a bowl.
- To a large mixing bowl add brown sugar, granulated sugar and oil. Beat until light in color and creamy in texture. Add egg, milk and vanilla and mix well.
- Add all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt to the mixture and mix just until incorporated. Fold in chopped Oreos.
- Spread the dough into the baking pan.
- Bake for about 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Do not bake for too long otherwise the brownies will be dry and crumbly.
- Take out and allow to come to room temperature. Cut into squares and enjoy with coffee/tea.
