Chatpati Murmura Nimko
Ingredients
- Puffed Rice 6 cups
- Raw peanuts 2 cups
- Oil 4 tbsp
- Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
- Salt as needed (puffed rice and chat masala already contain salt)
- Red chili powder 1/4 tsp
- Chat masala to taste
- Amchur powder 1 tsp
Preparation
- In a wok, add 2 tbsp oil and peanuts. Roast on low flame until the peanuts are crunchy and roasted.
- Take the peanuts out into a bowl and to the same wok, add turmeric powder and roast for few seconds on low heat.
- Add puffed rice and stir well until the turmeric powder is well coated on the puffed rice.
- Puffed rice should be super crispy at this stage. If not, roast for a few more minutes on low flame.
- Lastly add salt, red chili powder, chat masala and amchur powder and mix well for 1-2 minutes.
- Turn the flame off and allow to come to room temperature.
- Transfer to an airtight container and store at room temperature up to two months.
