Chicken Shami Kebabs (with potato)

Chicken Shami Kebab

Ingredients:

  • Boneless chicken cut into cube 500-gram
  • Chopped fresh coriander stems 1 Tbsp
  • Garlic paste 1 Tsp
  • Ginger paste 1 Tsp
  • Potatoes 2
  • Green chilies chopped  3 (or to taste) 
  • Salt 1 Tsp
  • Onion chopped  1 Medium sized
  • Chickpea lentils / channa daal (soaked for at least 4 hours) 1/3 cup 
  • Potato, peeled and cubed 1
  • Cumin powder  1 Tsp
  • Turmeric powder  ¼ Tsp

 

Preparation:

  1. Add all the ingredients in a pressure cooker along with the chicken and cook until done.
  2. Mash up the mixture and then shape into kebabs.
  3. Coat with beaten egg.
  4. Fry and serve hot.

Note:

  • The recipe is for 10 – 12 shami kebabs.
