Ingredients
- Chicken Mince 1 kg (you can use mutton or beef too)
- Big Red Bell pepper 1, chopped ( or green)
- Eggs 2
- Ginger paste 1/2 tsp
- Garlic paste 1/2 tsp
- Spring onions 1/2 cup (green part only)
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper powder to taste
- Paprika powder 4 tsp (don’t worry, its not too much 😊)
- Pizza sauce 4 tsp
- Bread slices 3 if using fresh chicken mince (I used frozen mince which has more moisture, therefore I had to add 4 slices)
Other ingredients
- Burger buns
- Ketchup
- Mayo
- Mustard paste
- Cheese slices etc
Preparation
- Add bread slices to a food processor and grind into crumbs.
- In a bowl, add chicken mince, chopped pell pepper, eggs, spring onions, ginger and garlic paste, salt, black pepper powder, paprika powder and pizza sauce.
- Mix and add bread crumbs of 3 bread slices and mix again, keep on the counter top for 10 minutes and check again, if need be, add more crumbs.
- Cover and refrigerate for 1-2 hours only, keeping overnight would make the mixture sloppy because of the bell peppers and sping onions.
- Take out and shape into balls.
- Heat a few tablespoons of oil in a frying pan, shape the mince into balls and place them on the pan and smash them using a spatula.
- Cook on both sides.
- Lastly, place cheese slice on top and allow to melt.
