Chicken Strips with Honey Sauce

Ingredients

  • Boneless chicken 1 kg, cut into strips
  • Egg 1
  • Salt 1/2 tsp

Coating

  • All-purpose flour 1.5 cups
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Paprika powder 1 tsp
  • Dried oregano 2 tsp
  • Dried basil 2 tsp

Honey sauce

  • Ginger paste 1/4 tsp
  • Water 1/2 cup (or more if needed)
  • Corn flour 2.5 tbsp
  • Soy sauce 4 tbsp
  • Honey 4 tbsp
  • Chili sauce to taste

Preparation

  1. Add salt and egg to the chicken strips and mix.
  2. Honey sauce: Mix ginger and garlic paste, water, corn flour, soy sauce, honey and chili sauce and cook until thickened. If needed, add more water to adjust consistency.
  3. Coating: Mix all the ingredients of the coating in a bowl.
  4. Heat oil (for shallow frying).
  5. Drench the chicken strips one by one in the coating mixture and place in the oil.
  6. Fry for 3-4 minutes, flipping once or twice.
  7. Chicken strips are ready. Pour honey sauce over the strips and serve with boiled rice.
  8. Enjoy!
