Ingredients
- Boneless chicken 1 kg, cut into strips
- Egg 1
- Salt 1/2 tsp
Coating
- All-purpose flour 1.5 cups
- Salt 1 tsp
- Paprika powder 1 tsp
- Dried oregano 2 tsp
- Dried basil 2 tsp
Honey sauce
- Ginger paste 1/4 tsp
- Water 1/2 cup (or more if needed)
- Corn flour 2.5 tbsp
- Soy sauce 4 tbsp
- Honey 4 tbsp
- Chili sauce to taste
Preparation
- Add salt and egg to the chicken strips and mix.
- Honey sauce: Mix ginger and garlic paste, water, corn flour, soy sauce, honey and chili sauce and cook until thickened. If needed, add more water to adjust consistency.
- Coating: Mix all the ingredients of the coating in a bowl.
- Heat oil (for shallow frying).
- Drench the chicken strips one by one in the coating mixture and place in the oil.
- Fry for 3-4 minutes, flipping once or twice.
- Chicken strips are ready. Pour honey sauce over the strips and serve with boiled rice.
