Ingredients
Skewers
- Chicken cubes 1 kg
- Salt ¾ tbsp (or to taste)
- Red chili powder 1/2 tbsp or more
- Cumin powder 1.5 tbsp
- Oregano 1.5 tbsp
- Garlic powder 1 tbsp
- Paprika powder 3 tbsp
- Oil 7-8 tbsp
Gravy
- Oil 3 tbsp
- Ginger paste1/2 tbsp
- Garlic paste 1/2 tbsp
- Onion 1 big, thickly sliced
- Green bell pepper 1 big, thickly sliced
- Red bell pepper 1 big, thickly slices
- Ketchup 1/2 cup
- Tomato sauce 1/4 cup
- Soy sauce 1/4 cup
- Chili sauce to taste
- Chicken cubes 2
- Brown sugar 1 tbsp (or white sugar)
- Water 3 cups
- Corn flour 2 tbsp, mixed in 1/2 cup water
Garnish
- Spring onions, sliced
- Fresh red chili, sliced
Preparation
- Skewers: Mix all the ingredients and add chicken to it. Mix well and allow to marinate for 30 minutes. Then thread them on the Skewer.
- Heat few tbsp of oil on griddle or pan and add the skewers.
- Cook on both sides until 100% done.
- Gravy: While the skewers are grilling, take a wok, heat oil and add ginger and garlic paste, onion and bell peppers.
- Sauté until the raw smell of ginger and garlic is gone.
- Now add ketchup, tomato sauce, soy sauce/oyster sauce, chicken cubes, sugar and water. Allow to come to a boil. Adjust the taste and add corn flour mixed in water.
- Stir until the sauce thickens.
- Serve this gravy with skewers on a plate of rice.
