- Salt 1 tsp
- Sugar 1/4
- Luke-warm milk 1 cup
- Eggs 2 at room temperature
- Butter 60 grams at room temperature
Topping options:

- Cinnamon mixed sugar
Filling options:
- I used chico nut chocolate spread (like Nutella)
- Strawberry jam
- Cream cheese mixed with powdered sugar
- Honey
Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, add plain flour, salt, sugar and instant yeast. Mix well.
- In a small bowl add luke-warm milk and eggs, Whisk well and add to the flour mixture.
- Knead until combined.
- Add butter and start kneading. Knead for 7-8 minutes or until the dough is smooth and lump-free.
- Cover and allow to rise until doubled in size (30-40 minutes).
- Now deflate the dough and cut into 16 pieces. We need to be quick now. Roll each piece into a ball and flatten each ball into 1/2 inch thick disc and place on baking paper squares.
- Cover with a cloth and allow to rise again until double (10-12 minutes).
- Fry the donuts in oil on low heat until golden on both sides.
- Coat the hot donuts in sugar and insert a butter knife to make some space for filling.
- Put the filling in a piping bag and fill the donut with it.
- Enjoy!
