Creamy Broccoli Pasta

Ingredients

  • Pasta or spaghetti 1 packet (440 grams)
  • Broccoli head 1 big, cut into florets
  • Onion 1, chopped
  • Garlic cloves 5, chopped
  • Butter 3 tbsp
  • Cream cheese 4 tbsp or 4 kiri cheese cubes mashed with a little water into a paste
  • Chicken cubes 2
  • Water 1 cup
  • Corn flour 1.5 tsp + water 2 tbsp
  • Black pepper powder as needed
  • Topping; Black olives and cottage cheese

Preparation

  1. Boil pasta according to package instructions.
  2. Drain and run tap water over it to stop the cooking process. Keep aside.
  3. Wash and drain broccoli florets. Keep aside.
  4. In a cooking pot, add butter, onion and garlic and cook on low until the onions are soft.
  5. Add broccoli florets, mix, cover and steam on low flame for 6-7 minutes until just softened.
  6. Dissolve chicken cubes in 1 cup of boiling water and add to the broccoli.
  7. Now add cream cheese and stir.
  8. Mix corn flour in 2 tbsp water and add to the broccoli.
  9. Mix until the sauce becomes thick.
  10. Add drained pasta and mix.
  11. Cover and cook on low flame for 6-7 minutes.
  12. Creamy broccoli pasta is ready.
  13. Top with black olives and crumbled cottage cheese.
  14. Enjoy!
