Creamy Green Pasta

Ingredients

  • Uncooked paste 400 grams
  • Onion, 1 big, chopped
  • Garlic cloves 4, sliced
  • Oil 4 tbsp
  • Peas 2 cups
  • Fresh mint leaves 2 handfuls
  • Green chili 1-2
  • Chicken cubes 2 (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • White pepper to taste
  • Fresh cream 2 tbsp

Preparation

  1. Cook paste according to the package instructions. Drain, run tap water over it and set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a vessel and add onions and garlic. Saute until soft.
  3. Add peas (frozen or fresh) and cook until the peas are fully cooked.
  4. Now transfer half of the mixture to a blender and add mint leaves and green chili. Add a little water and blend into a smooth paste.
  5. Transfer the blended paste back into the peas and onion mixture. Adjust the consistency by adding water and bring to a boil.
  6. Add chicken cubes, salt and white pepper powder and cook on a very low flame for 2 minutes.
  7. Now add fresh cream and cook for 1 minute.
  8. Add cooked pasta and mix until the paste is warmed up.
  9. Paste is ready. Garnish with cooked peas or fresh mint.
  10. Serve hot!
