Crispy Fish Fillets
Ingredients
- Fish fillets 1 kg
- All-purpose flour 3 heaped tbsp
- Paprika powder 1 tsp
- Oregano 1/2 tsp
- Basil 1/2 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper powder 1/2 tsp
- Butter 1 tbsp
- Olive Oil 1 tbsp
Preparation
- Sift the all-purpose flour in a large mixing bowl and add all the spices. Mix well.
- Clean and wash the fish fillets and cut into 6-inch long pieces and allow the water to drain properly or alternatively, pat dry using a tissue paper.
- Heat oil in a frying pan for shallow frying (or wok for deep frying).
- Put all the fish pieces into the flour mixture and mix until all the pieces are coated by the fish.
- Heat butter and olive oil in a frying pan.
- Place the pieces into the frying pan one by one and shallow fry on both sides. Total cooking time would be 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Take out and serve the crispy fish immediately.
