Crunchy Hash Browns without Eggs

Ingredients

  • Potatoes 2 biggest ever 😁extra large size
  • Ice cold water
  • Corn flour 4 tbsp
  • Baking powder 1/4 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper powder to taste
  • Onion powder 1.5 tsp
  • Oil for frying

Preparation

  1. Peel and grate potatoes and soak in ice cold water for 15 minutes.
  2. Now drain the water as much as possible until potatoes are completely dry.
  3. Add corn flour, baking powder, salt, black pepper and onion powder and mix well.
  4. Allow to stand for 5 minutes until the mixture is a little bit moist.
  5. Heat oil on low flame in a frying pan.
  6. Shape the hash browns and add to the oil. NOTE: If the liquid is too much in potatoes, drain then while shaping the hashbrowns.
  7. Fry until inside is cooked. Now turn the flame high. When the potatoes turn golden, take them out and enjoy!
