Curly Fries

Ingredients

  • Boiled potatoes 1/2 kg
  • Onion powder 1.5 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper powder to taste
  • Corn flour 3/4 cup
  • Milk 1/2 cup at room temperature

Preparation

  1. Peel the boiled potatoes and mash by pressing them through a thick sieve like a fruit basket. This is to ensure that there are no lumps in the potatoes.
  2. To the mashed potatoes add onion powder, salt and black pepper powder, corn flour and half of the milk.
  3. Mix and see if the dough is hard add more milk and mix. Dough should have the same consistency as play dough.
  4. Transfer the dough to a piping bag or shape the dough using your hands (details in the video).
  5. Heat oil to medium flame (low heat will cause the fries to absorb oil so keep the flame medium.
  6. Pipe the dough directly into oil.
  7. Fry until golden.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy!
