Simple Dinner Rolls/Buns
Ingredients:
- Flour 3 Cups
- Yeast 1 + ½ teaspoons
- Salt 2 teaspoons
- Lukewarm water 1 Cup
- Honey 2 tablespoons
- Olive oil 2 tablespoons
- Egg 1
- Sesame seeds (optional)
preparation:
- Mix like warm water, olive oil, salt, honey, and yeast in a big bowl.
- Mix well and knead for about 10-15 seconds until the dough is elastic.
- Oil a big bowl and transfer the dough to it.
- Cover with a cling wrap and let it rise for 1 hour.
- It will double in size.
- Preheat the oven to 190*C.
- Take the dough out. Deflate it with the help of hands.
- Cut into 8 pieces.
- Shape each piece into a ball.
- Arrange the dough balls onto the baking sheet, cover and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Crack the egg into a small bowl and beat well.
- Uncover the dough balls and brush with egg.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- Serve hot with the fillings of your choice. Enjoy!
