Eggless Sugar Cookies / Sheep Cookies Eid ul Adha Edition
Ingredients
- Icing sugar 150 grams (or powdered sugar 150 grams + 1 tsp corn flour)
- Butter at room temperature 120 grams
- Water 25 grams at room temperature
- Vanilla essence 1/2 tsp
- Plain flour 240 grams
- Salt 1/2 tsp
- Milk chocolate and white chocolate for decoration
Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, add powdered sugar and butter.
- Whisk until the moxture becomes fluffy, airt and light in color. I used electric whisk but you can use manual whisk too.
- Add vanilla and water and whisk until smooth again.
- Sift plain flour, add salt and mix. Add this to the butter mixture and fold in until combined. Do not over-mix at this stage.
- Roll into thin sheet and cut out the cookies.
- Place the cookies on a baking tray and refrigerate for 10-15 minutes or until completely chilled.
- Meanwhile preheat the oven to 180°C using lower rod only.
- Take the tray out of the fridge and bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes at 180°C.
- Take out and allow to cool down.
- Melt chocolate and design sheep as shown in the video.
