Extra Crispy Hash brown Patties
Crispy, crunchy and Super simple hash brown patties. Go really well with just about any breakfast. These are super easy and sure to impress!
Ingredients
- Potatoes 2 big sized
- Onion 1 small, very finely chopped
- Egg white 1
- All-purpose flour (maida) 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Garlic powder 1/2 tsp
- Oil 5-6 tbsp, for frying
Preparation
- Wash, peel and grate the potatoes.
- Wash in running water until the water runs clear. Then soak in cold water for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, squeeze out all the excess water using a muslin cloth.
- NOTE: If any water remains in the potatoes then the hash browns will not be crunchy.
- Transfer the grated potatoes to a bowl.
- Add chopped onions, salt, black pepper powder, garlic powder and all-purpose flour to the potatoes and mix.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan and add the potatoes and shape them using the back of the spoon.
- Fry for at least 5-6 minutes on each side until all crunchy!
- Take out on a paper towel.
- Enjoy while hash browns are hot.
