Fish Pakora

Ingredients

  • Boneless fish 700 grams
  • Gram flour/besan 1 cup
  • Salt 3/4 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Green chilies 1-2, finely chopped
  • Turmeric powder 3/4 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Dried fenugreek 2 tsp
  • Ginger paste 1/2 tsp
  • Garlic paste 1/2 tsp
  • Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  • Egg 1
  • Water as needed

Preparation

  1. Cut the fish into 2×2 inch pieces. Wash and pat dry.
  2. In a bowl, add all the ingredients and mix well.
  3. Add water and mix until thick consistency like pancake batter is reached.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan.
  5. Coat the fish pieces in the batter and add to the oil.
  6. Fry for 5-6 minutes until the coating is golden brown.
  7. Take out on a paper towel.
  8. Enjoy with tamarind chutney!
