Ingredients
- Grated carrots 2 cups
- Sugar 1 cup
- Fresh Milk 1 cup
- Desi ghee (clarified butter) 1 tsp
Khoya/Mawa
- Fresh Milk 1 cup
- Milk powder 8 tbsp
Preparation
- Khoya/Mawa: Add milk and powdered milk to a sauce pan and cook on low flame with constant stirring until all the milk has evaporated and the mixture has crumbled. Keep aside for later use.
- Add grated carrots to a cooking pot along with sugar.
- Cook on a low flame until all the water has evaporated.
- Add desi ghee and cook for 2 minutes on low flame.
- Lastly add milk and cook again until the water has completely evaporated.
- Add the khoya and mix again.
- Shape into balls before the mixture cools. Serve cold. Enjoy!
