Ingredients
Marination
- Chicken on bones 1 kg
- Onions 2 medium
- Ginger paste 1 tbsp
- Garlic paste 1 tbsp
- Green chilies 4-5
- Fresh coriander chopped 2 cups
- Salt 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder 1 tsp
- Yogurt 1 cup
Other
- Oil 1/2 cup
- Green chilies 5-6 slit
- Garam masala 1 tsp
- Coriander powder 2 tsp
- Cumin powder 1 tsp
- Fresh coriander for the garnish
Preparation
- In a blender, add onions, ginger and garlic paste, green chilies, fresh coriander, salt, turmeric and yogurt.
- Blend into a smooth paste, adding a little water if needed.
- Add this paste to the chicken. Mix well and marinate for 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a cooking pot and add green chilies.
- Sauté for few seconds and add marinated chicken.
- Cook on high for few minutes until all the chicken turns white.
- Now cover and cook on low for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally until the chicken has completely cooked.
- Now add garam masala, coriander powder and cumin powder and mix.
- Cook for 1 minute on low and turn the flame off.
- Garnish with some fresh coriander.
- Serve with naan or roti. Enjoy!
