Gulab Jamun

Ingredients:

  • Milk powder 1 Cup
  • All purpose flour 1 tablespoon
  • Baking powder 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh cream 1 tablespoon
  • Oil 1 tablespoon
  • Egg 1 (large)
  • Sugar 1 Cup
  • Water 2 Cups
  • Cardamom 3-4
  • Pistachios as needed

preparation:

  1. Add water, sugar and green cardamom in a pot and leave on the heat to dissolve the sugar. Bring to a boil and turn the flame very low.
  2. In a bowl sieve milk powder, all purpose flour and baking powder. Mix.
  3. Add oil, fresh cream and mix thoroughly.
  4. Shape the dough into 15-16 small balls.
  5. You need to shape them as quickly as possible because if the batter starts to dry, the gulab jamuns will form cracks on the surface and will either start to disintegrate in the oil or the crack will open up a little, leaving the gulab jamuns looking ugly.
  6. Take a big wok and fill with oil over medium flame.
  7. When the oil is heated, add the gulab jamun and keep stirring constantly until the gulab jamans are brown.
  8. Immediately transfer the Gulab jamuns to the sugar solution you prepared. Cover for 15 minutes.
  9. Serve warm. Enjoy!
