Honey Oats Bread (No Yeast)
Ingredients
- All-purpose flour 2 cups
- Baking powder 2 tsp
- Baking soda 1/4 tsp
- Salt 1 tsp
- Egg 1 (at room temperature)
- Thick yogurt 1 cup (at room temperature)
- Milk 1/2 cup (at room temperature)
- Oil 1/3 cup
- Honey 1/4 cup
- Instant oats 1 cup
- Some instant oats, for topping
- Some honey, for topping
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 170°C (350°F).
- Take a loaf pan 4.4×10 inch (11×25 cm), grease it with oil/butter and line with a parchment paper.
- In a bowl, add all purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Mix and keep aside.
- In another bowl, add egg, yogurt, milk, oil and honey. Whisk until well combined.
- Add in dry ingredients and stir to combine, DO NOT OVER MIX.
- Lastly add oats and fold in using a spatula.
- Transfer the batter to the loaf pan and bake at 350ºF (175ºC) for 40 minutes (using upper and lower heat) until you insert a skewer in the center and it comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and immediately brush with honey and sprinkle oats on top.
- Run a knife on the sides to loosen the bread and place it on a rack. Cool completely before slicing. Enjoy!
