Honey Oats Bread (No Yeast)

Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour 2 cups
  • Baking powder 2 tsp
  • Baking soda 1/4 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Egg 1 (at room temperature)
  • Thick yogurt 1 cup (at room temperature)
  • Milk 1/2 cup (at room temperature)
  • Oil 1/3 cup
  • Honey 1/4 cup
  • Instant oats 1 cup
  • Some instant oats, for topping
  • Some honey, for topping

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 170°C (350°F).
  • Take a loaf pan 4.4×10 inch (11×25 cm), grease it with oil/butter and line with a parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, add all purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Mix and keep aside.
  • In another bowl, add egg, yogurt, milk, oil and honey. Whisk until well combined.
  • Add in dry ingredients and stir to combine, DO NOT OVER MIX.
  • Lastly add oats and fold in using a spatula.
  • Transfer the batter to the loaf pan and bake at 350ºF (175ºC) for 40 minutes (using upper and lower heat) until you insert a skewer in the center and it comes out clean.
  • Remove from the oven and immediately brush with honey and sprinkle oats on top.
  • Run a knife on the sides to loosen the bread and place it on a rack. Cool completely before slicing. Enjoy!
