Hot Butter Chicken [ Air Fryer Recipe]

Ingredients

  • Chicken leg pieces [skin on] 1 kg
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Salt 3/4 tsp
  • Black pepper powder 1/2 tsp
  • Paprika powder 1.5 tsp
  • Garlic powder 1 tsp

Hot Honey Butter Sauce

  • Hot sauce 1/2 cup
  • Honey 1/2 cup
  • Salt 3/4 tsp
  • Melted Butter 1/2 cup

Preparation

  1. In a large bowl whisk together oil, salt, black pepper powder, paprika powder and garlic powder.
  2. Add chicken legs and toss to coat fully. Allow to marinate for 1 hour.
  3. Arrange the leg pieces in air fryer and cook for 15 minutes at 200°C.
  4. While the chicken legs are cooking, make hot honey butter sauce. In a medium sized bowl, whisk together melted Butter, hot sauce, honey and salt. Taste and add more salt if desired.
  5. After 15 minutes open the air fryer and brush the hot honey butter sauce on the leg pieces.
  6. Reduce the temperature to 170°C and bake for another 5-8 minutes, or until wings are cooked through.
  7. Serve immediately with any extra sauce on the side for dipping!
