Instant Burfi Recipe | Milk Powder Barfi Recipe

Ingredients

  • Milk 3/4 cup
  • Sugar 1/2 cup
  • Milk powder 2 + 1/2 cup
  • Clarified Butter/ Desi Ghee 1/3 cup
  • Cardamom powder 1/4 tsp
  • Pistachios chopped 3-4 tbsp

Preparation

  1. Grease a dish/baking tray with desi ghee and line with a parchment paper.
  2. Add milk, sugar, milk powder and clarified butter in a karai (wok) and mix on a very low flame until there are no lumps.
  3. Keep cooking on a very low flame, stirring continuously, until the sugar dissolves and milk starts to thicken.
  4. Keep cooking on a very low flame until the mixture leaves the wok and forms into a dough.
  5. Turn the flame off and transfer the mixture immediately into the prepared dish and spread evenly.
  6. Top with chopped pistachios and press gently.
  7. Refrigerate for 3-4 hours or overnight.
  8. Take out of the tray and cut into small cubes.
  9. Serve chilled.
