Jhatpat Tawa Pizza (Quickie Pizza on Skillet)
Ingredients
For Dough
- Maida [all-purpose flour] 1 cup
- Yogurt 1/2 cup (or more if needed)
- Baking Powder 1.5 tsp
For Topping
- Pizza Sauce
- Olives
- Capsicum
- Onions
- Mozzarella cheese
- Oregano
Preparation
- This pizza dough is for 1 big tawa size pizza.
- Take all-purpose flour in a bowl and add baking powder. Please use measuring cup and spoon for perfect results.
- Add yogurt and start mixing.
- Knead into a dough.
- Dough should be soft and little bit sticky but not too much sticky. If need be, you can add a little bit of all-purpose flour to adjust the dough.
- Apply oil on the tawa and place it to heat up on stove.
- Flame should be low but not extremely low.
- Dust the surface with a little bit of all-purpose flour and roll the dough into a pizza.
- Place it on the tawa and cook for 3-4 minutes or until you see bubbles on top of the dough and the base is a little bit browned.
- Now turn the pizza dough upside down.
- Turn the flame as low as possible.
- Apply pizza sauce, olives, mushrooms, capsicum and onions.
- Add mozzarella cheese on top and sprinkle some oregano on top.
- Cover and cook on extremely low flame until the cheese is melted
- Alternatively, bake in the
preheated oven at 180*C for 10-12 minutes using top rod. - Yummy and quick tawa pizza is ready!
