Ingredients
- Sooji (semolina) 1/2 cup
- Desi ghee 1/2 cup
- Sugar 1/2 cup
- Milk 1.5 – 2 cups
- Cardamom powder 1 tsp
Preparation
- Add desi ghee and semolina in a pan and fry on low heat until semolina changes color and gives a nice nutty aroma.
- Remove from heat and add milk, sugar and cardamom powder.
- Bring back to the stove and cover and cook on low heat until the milk is absorbed by the semolina. If needed, you can add more milk to make it into a kheer.
- Serve hot with poori/paratha and aloo cholay ka salan.
- Enjoy!
Lahori Nashta – Sooji ka Halwa
