Lauki Chana Dal Sabzi
Ingredients
- Lauki 300 grams, chopped into small chunks
- Chana dal 1 cup, soaked overnight
- Oil 1/2 cup
- Onion 1 small, chopped
- Ginger paste 1 tsp
- Garlic paste 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds 3/4 tsp
- Tomato 1, chopped
- Water 2 cups
- Salt to taste
- Red chili powder to taste
- Turmeric powder 1 tsp
- Garam masala 1 tsp
- Coriander powder 2 tsp
- Cumin powder 1 tsp
- Fresh coriander
- Fresh green chilies
Preparation
- Heat oil in a pressure cook and add onion, ginger gralic paste and cumin seeds. fry intil golden.
- Add tomatoes, salt, red chilies and turmeric powder and cook until tomaties are soft.
- Add lauki and chana dal and 2 cups water.
- Pressure cook for 3 whistles.
- Let the pressure release and add garam masala, coriander powder and cumin powder, chopped coriander and green chilies.
- Serve with roti or rice.
