Layered Meat Pie

Ingredients

Dough

  • All-purpose flour 2 cups
  • Salt 3/4 tsp
  • Oil 1/3 cup
  • Warm water as needed

Stuffing

  • Boneless Chicken 200 grams
  • Salt to taste
  • Paprika powder 1 tbsp
  • Black pepper powder 1/4 tsp
  • Cumin powder 3/4 tbsp
  • Onion 1 small sized
  • Fresh coriander 1 handful

Preparation

  1. Dough: Add oil and salt in the flour until well combined.
  2. Add warm water and knead until the dough is soft and smooth.
  3. Cover and allow to rest for 30 minutes.
  4. Stuffing: Chop together onion and fresh coriander in a chopper.
  5. Add salt, paprika powder, black pepper powder and cumin powder and chop until the chicken pieces are finely minced.
  6. Divide the flour dough into 4 balls.
  7. Take 1 ball and roll into paper thin roti.
  8. Place a bowl at the centre of the roti upside down and cut the remaining roti into 6 parts.
  9. Apply a thinnest layer of mince on the pieces and place over one another. Now roll to flatten a bit. Please watch the video below for the complete process.
  10. Cook just like you cook paratha but on a very low flame so that the mince inside cooks thoroughly.
  11. Lastly brown the pie on both sides.
  12. Cut into 4 pieces and enjoy!
