Masala Chicken Piece
Ingredients
- Chicken thighs or any other pieces 1/2 kg
- Plain yogurt 1/2 cup
- Lemon juice 2 tablespoons
- Ginger paste 1 tablespoon
- Garlic paste 1 tablespoon
- Gram flour [Baisan] 1 tablespoon
- Salt 1 teaspoon
- Red chili powder 3/4 teaspoon or to taste
- Turmeric powder 3/4 teaspoon
- Garam masala 2 teaspoons
- Coriander powder 2 teaspoons
- Cumin powder 1 teaspoon
- Chili flakes 1/2 teaspoon
- Chat masala 1 teaspoon
- Dried fenugreek leaves 2 teaspoons
- Kashmiri Red chili powder [optional] 1 teaspoon
- Oil 3-4 tablespoons
Preparation
- Mix everything and apply on the chicken pieces. No need for marination.
- In a pot add oil and place the chicken pieces.
- Cover the pot and cook on a low flame for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken pieces are cooked properly.
- Make sure to check the chicken frequently and add a splash of water when necessary because the masala, because of the gram flour, has a higher tendency to stick to the pot.
- Add 3-4 tablespoons of oil in a frying pan and place the cooked chicken pieces. Turn the flame high, cook from both sides until browned.
- Dish out and serve. Enjoy!
