Ingredients
- Peas 2 cups, blanched
- Garlic cloves 3
- Egg 1
- Salt to taste
- Chat masala 1 tsp or to taste
- Plain flour 2 tbsp heaped
- Fresh mint leaves chopped 2 tbsp
- Water as needed
- Baking soda 1/3 tsp
Preparation
- Add 1.5 cups of peas in a chopper along with garlic cloves and chop coarsely.
- Take out in a bowl and add the remaining 1/2 cup of peas.
- Add egg, salt, chat masala, flour, mint leaves and mix well.
- Add baking soda and a little water to make a pakora like consistency.
- Mix well.
- Grease a frying pan with oil and place dallops of the peas batter.
- Press the dallops to shape into patties.
- Keep the flame low so that the pea fritters don’t turn brown and stay vibrant green.
- Cook on both sides until fully cooked.
- Enjoy with mint raita!
