Ingredients
Coating
- Boneless chicken 1 kg, cut into cubes
- Corn flour 2 tbsp
- Egg 1
- Plain flour 1 cup
- Oil for frying
Sauce
- Tomato paste 2 tbsp full
- White vinegar 2 tbsp
- Chili flakes 1/2 tbsp
- Chili sauce to taste
- Oyster sauce (or Soy sauce) 2 tbsp
- Brown sugar 3 tbsp
- Salt if needed
Other
- Oil 2-3 tbsp
- Garlic cloves 3, grated
- Fresh plums 6, cut into wedges
- Red bell pepper 1, cut into strips
- Green bell pepper 1, cut into strips
- Yellow bell pepper 1, cut into strips
- Water as needed
Serving suggestion
- Plain boiled rice
- Chinese Rice
- Pasta/Spaghetti
Preparation
- Add corn flour to the chicken and coat properly
- After coating is done, add an egg in the coated chicken and mix again.
- In another bowl, add plain flour and place each piece of chicken in the flour. Coat with flour.
- Heat oil in a frying pan and add the coated chicken pieces to the oil.
- Cook until the pieces are fully cooked. Take out and keep aside.
- Sauce: In another bowl, mix all the ingredients of sauce and keep aside.
- In a wok, heat oil and add the grated garlic. Fry until starts to turn golden.
- Add fresh plum wedges and bell peppers into the wok and stir fry on high flame for 5-6 minutes until the bell peppers are vibrant in color.
- Add the fried chicken pieces and the sauce.
- Mix and add water to your liking.
- Mix and cook for 1 minute.
- Turn the flame off.
- Enjoy!
