Potato and Onion Paratha

Ingredients for 4 parathas

  • Potato 4, boiled, peeled and mashed
  • Onion 1/2, chopped
  • Green chilies 2-3, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chili powder optional
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Chat masala 1 tsp

Preparation

  1. Mix together mashed potatoes, chopped onion, salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin seeds, chat masala and chopped green chilies.
  2. Mix well.
  3. Roll a roti and place 1/4th of the potato mixture in the middle.
  4. Shape the roti into a ball.
  5. Roll again and place on a hot tawa.
  6. Cook the parathas the usual way using desi ghee or oil.
  7. Enjoy!
