Ingredients
- Potatoes 3 big
- Salt 1 pinch
White Sauce
- Butter 3 tsp
- Garlic cloves 3, grated
- All-purpose flour 3 tsp
- Milk 1 cup
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cream 3 tbsp
Topping
- Mozzarella cheese as needed
Preparation
- Peel and thinly slice the potatoes. Sprinkle a pinch of salt and mix.
- Preheat the oven at 180°C.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter and add grated garlic. Sauté on low flame until aromatic.
- Add the all-purpose flour and cook on low flame until fragrant. Do not let it brown.
- Now add milk and whisk until there are no lumps.
- Cook on low flame until the sauce has thickened.
- Add salt and pepper at this stage, mix and add fresh cream.
- Mix and turn off the flame.
- Line an 8-inch baking pan with foil.
- Start with a layer of potato slice. Top with a little white sauce.
- Repeat until all the layers (2-3) are complete.
- Top it off with mozzarella cheese.
- Bake at 180°C for35 to 40 minutes or until the potatoes are done.
- Enjoy with burgers, pizza or pasta.
