Quick Chicken kachori
Ingredients
- Oil 3 tbsp
- Onion 1 small, chopped
- Ginger paste 1/2 tsp
- Garlic paste 1/2 tsp
- Boiled & shredded chicken 2 cups
- Salt to taste
- Red chili powder to taste
- Turmeric powder 1/4 tbsp
- Garam masala 1/4 tbsp
- Coriander powder 1/2 tbsp
- Cumin powder 1/2 tbsp
- Black pepper powder 1/4 tbsp
- Eggs 2
- Milk 1/2 cup
- Corn flour 1 tsp heaped
- Green chilies 1-2, sliced
- Fresh coriander 3-4 tbsp
- Frozen parathas 5-6, defrosted at room temperature
- Oil for spraying on kachoris
Preparation
- Heat oil in a pan and add onions and green chilies. Sauté until the onions are soft.
- Add ginger paste and garlic paste. Sauté until the raw smell is gone.
- Add boiled and shredded chicken, salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, coriander powder, cumin powder and black pepper.
- Sauté for a few minutes until the chicken absorbs all the spices.
- Now add eggs and cook.
- Lastly, mix corn flour in milk and add to the chicken. Cook until the slurry is thick.
- Add chopped green chili and chopped coriander and give a stir.
- Allow to cool a little bit and place the filling in the middle of paratha and shape into kachori as shown in the video.
- Air frying time: 200°C for 8-9 minutes
- Baking time: 200°C for 12-14 minutes
- You can also cook it on tawa just like you cook frozen parathas.
