Seed Bars for Hormonal and Memory Issues – Oven Version
Ingredients
- Pumpkin seeds 1 cup
- Black Sesame seeds (or white) 1/4 cup
- Flax seeds 1/4 cup
- Almonds 1/2 cup, chopped
- Coconut chips (unsweetened) 1/2 cup
- Honey 4 tbsp
- Peanut butter 2 tbsp
- Coconut oil 2 tbsp
- Dark chocolate 200 grams
Preparation
- In bowl, mix pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, flax seeds, almonds and coconut chips.
- Add honey, coconut oil and peanut butter.
- Mix well to coat everything.
- Preheat the oven at 160˚C using upper and lower rod.
- Place a butter paper on a baking tray and transfer the seeds mixture on to the tray.
- Use a spatula to press everything tightly into a thin layer and bake at 160˚C for 15-20 minutes or until the seeds turn golden.
- Take out of the oven and allow to cool to room temperature.
- Melt dark chocolate and pour on the top and spread evenly. Allow the chocolate to set.
- Cut into sticks and refrigerate for few hours. This will help the sticks to set and then you can remove them from the baking paper easily.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 2 months.
