Ingredients
- Potatoes 1 kg, cut into thin fries
- Oil 1/4 cup
- salt to taste
- Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
- Red chili powder to taste
- Garlic cloves 8-10, finely chopped
- Coriander powder 2 tsp
- Cumin powder 1 tsp
- Water as needed
Preparation
- Heat oil and add potatoes, salt and turmeric powder. Cook on medium flame until the potatoes are 70% done.
- Add red chili powder, chopped garlic, coriander powder and cumin powder.
- Cook for 1 minute and add enough water to cover the potatoes.
- Cover with a lid and cook on medium to low flame for 30 minutes or until the potatoes are over cooked and transformed into a gravy.
- Serve with rice.
