Spaghetti and Meatballs

Ingredients For Meatballs:

  • Chicken Mince 500 grams
  • Onion very large size 1 or use 2 medium sized (add half of onions to the mince) finely chopped
  • Egg 1
  • Breadcrumbs 3 Tbsp
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Black Pepper (to taste)
  • Garlic paste ½ Tsp
  • Ginger Paste ½ Tsp

Ingredients For Breadcrumbs:

Bake the bread slices at 150*C for 20 minutes.

You can use fresh bread for the recipe. Just grind the bread in the grinder before adding to the meatball mixture.

 

Ingredients For Spaghetti:

  • Spaghetti 1 packet
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Oregano 1 tbsp
  • Garlic powder ½ tsp

Ingredients For Gravy:

  • Onion (Remaining half)
  • Tomato can 400 Gm (or 4 fresh peeled and blended tomatoes)
  • Tomato Puree 2 Tbsp
  • Light brown sugar 1 Tsp
  • Oregano 1 Tbsp
  • Chicken Cube 1

 

preparation:

  1. In a bowl add chicken mince, onion, egg, breadcrumbs, ginger garlic paste, black pepper, and salt.
  2. Mix well, cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  3. After an hour, take the mince out of the refrigerator and shape into balls of same size. Fry in shallow oil over medium heat till half cooked.
  4. In a separate pot, bring water to a boil. Add the spaghetti along with oregano, salt, garlic powder and 2 tbsp oil for the amount of time written on the back of the packet.
  5. Drain the spaghetti.
  6. In another pan add 2 tbsp oil and add onions. Fry till soft. Add tomato can, tomato puree, brown sugar, chicken cube and oregano.
  7. Let the sauce cool and blend using a blender. Bring back on heat and add some water to thin it out.
  8. Add meatballs to the sauce. Cover and simmer till the meatballs are fully cooked.
  9. Serve with spaghetti. Enjoy!
