Spicy and Sweet Paneer Samosa Fillings

1. Spicy Paneer Filling

Ingredients

  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Ginger paste 1/2 tsp
  • Garlic paste 1/2 tsp
  • Onion 4 tbsp, finely chopped
  • Green chilies 2 tbsp,finely chopped
  • Red bell pepper 1/2, finely chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chili flakes
  • Fresh coriander 3 tbsp, finely chopped
  • Paneer (cottage cheese) 2.5 cups
  • Samosa patti

Preparation

  1. Crumble paneer using hands.
  2. Heat oil in a frying pan and add oil, ginger paste, garlic paste, onion and red bell pepper. Saute until onions are soft.
  3. Add salt and chili flakes and saute until there is no moiature from the be peppers.
  4. Lastly add fresh coriander and saute for 1 more minute and turn off the flame and allow to cool.
  5. When the mixture is at room temperature, add cottage cheese and mix.
  6. Fill in the samosa sheets.
  7. You can deep fry, bake or air fry the samosas.
  8. Enjoy with your favourite chutney.

2. Sweet Paneer Filling

Ingredients

  • Cottage cheese 2.5 cups
  • Pistachio 1/2 cup, finely chopped
  • Kiri cheese cubes 6 or any other cream cheese 6 tbsp
  • Samosa patti
  • Topping: Chashni (Sugar syrup), chocolate syrup or honey

Preparation

  1. Mix together paneer and pistachio.
  2. Mash cream cheese and add to the paneer and mix.
  3. Fill in the samosas.
  4. You can deep fry, bake or air fry the samosas.
  5. Take the samosas out when fried/baked and pour chasni on top just before serving. Enjoy crunchy sweet samosas.
