Spicy Chicken Strips Burgers

Ingredients

Marination

  • Onion 1 small
  • Garlic cloves 4
  • Green chilies 1-2
  • Fresh coriander leaves 1 tbsp
  • Whole red chilies 3
  • Capsicum 1/2
  • Salt to taste
  • Chicken 500 gms
  • Egg 1/2

Coating

  • All purpose-flour [maida] 3 tbsp
  • Cornflour 1.5 tbsp
  • Semolina [sooji] 1 tbsp
  • Black pepper powder to taste
  • salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Mustard Sauce

  • Mustard paste 1 tbsp
  • Mayonnaise 1 tbsp

Other Ingredients

  • Burger Buns 6
  • Lettuce Leaves
  • Cheese slices
  • Tomato slices
  • Ketchup
  • Cucumber pickle/Relish

 

Preparation

  1. Marination: In a food processor or a chopper, add onion, capsicum, red chilies, coriander, green chilies, garlic cloves and salt. Process until well combined.
  2. Cut chicken into thin strips. Add the marination to this chicken. Mix, cover and marinate at least 1 hour or preferably overnight.
  3. Next day, add one egg to the mixture and mix well.
  4. Coating: Mix all purpose flour, corn flour and semolina. Season with salt and black pepper. Mix
  5. Coat chicken pieces in this coating. Fry the chicken pieces until crispy and golden brown.
  6. Mustard sauce: Mix mustard paste and mayonnaise.
  7. Take the burger buns. On the bottom bun apply the mustard sauce, put some relish. Next, add tomato slice, chicken strips, cheese slice, and chopped lettuce on top.
  8. Apply ketchup on the top bun and close the burgers.
  9. Heat the burgers at 200*C for 5-6 minutes using both upper and lower rods, until crispy.
  10. Serve with french fries.
