Ingredients
- Sweet Potato 1 big
- Oil 2 tbsp
- Chopped onion 2 tbsp
- Tomato 1 big, chopped
- Fresh coriander 2 tbsp, chopped
- Green chili 1 sliced
- Yogurt 2 cups
- Salt to taste
- Chat masala 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
Preparation
- Peel and cut the sweet potato into 1 cm cubes.
- Sauté in a frying pan in 2 tbsp oil until the sweet potato chunks are cooked (4-5 minutes).
- Allow to cool to room temperature.
- Meanwhile, chop onion, tomato, green chilies and fresh coriander.
- In a bowl, whisk yogurt and add all the chopped vegetables, salt, chat masala and cumin seeds.
- Mix well and lastly add the cooked sweet potatoes to the raita.
- Mix and serve cold with some rice or sukhi sabzi.

Sweet Potato Raita (Shakarkandi Raita)
