Tandoori Chicken Pizza
Recipe For 2 Large Pizzas
Ingredients
Tandoori Spice Mix
- Paprika powder/Kashmiri red chili powder 1.5 tsp
- Red chili powder 1 tsp
- Garam Masala 1/4 tsp
- Coriander powder 1 tsp
- Cumin powder 1/2 tsp
- Mango powder 1/2 tsp
- Dry fenugreek 1/2 tsp
Chicken Marination
- Chicken cut into chunks 500 grams
- Salt to taste
- Tandoori Masala 1 tbsp
- Ginger paste 1/2 tsp
- Garlic paste 1/2 tsp
Other ingredients
- Oil 2 tbsp
- Pizza base
- Pizza Sauce
- Onions
- Red and green bell peppers
- Mozzarella cheese
- Semolina
- Green chilies chopped
- Fresh coriander
- Charcoal and 1/2 tsp oil
Preparation
- Marinate the chicken cubes in salt, tandoori masala, ginger and garlic paste for 30 minutes.
- Add 2 tbsp oil to a wok and add the chicken cubes. Cook on high flame until the chicken is cooked through.
- Place a small metal bowl in the middle of the wok and add a live charcoal. Pour 1/2 tsp oil on top and immediately cover to allow the smoke to penetrate the chicken.
- Sprinkle a pizza pan (if baking in the oven) or frying pan (if cooking on stove top) with some semolina and place the cooked pizza base in the pan.
- Apply generous amount of pizza sauce all over the pizza.
- Now top with mozzarella cheese, chicken cubes, onions and bell peppers.
- Stovetop: Cover and cook on low flame until the cheese melts.
- Oven: Bake for 6-7 minutes in a pre-heated oven at 230*C until the cheese is bubbly and browned.
- Serve immediately. Enjoy!
