Teriyaki Chicken Casserole: a crowd-pleasing, EASY all-in-one meal with juicy chicken, crisp veggies, rice, and an addictive homemade teriyaki sauce.
Ingredients
Teriyaki sauce
- Ginger paste 1 tsp
- Garlic paste 1 tsp
- Soy sauce 1/3 cup soy sauce
- Oyster sauce 3 tbsp (optional)
- Chili sauce as per taste
- Vinegar 3 tbsp
- Water 1/2 cup
- Brown sugar 1 heaped tbsp
- Corn starch 1 heaped tbsp
Other ingredients
- Chicken 500 grams, cut into cubes
- Bell pepper 1, cubed
- Green beans 2 handfuls, cut into inch length
- Carrot 1 big, sliced
- Onions 2 medium , cubed
- NOTE: You can add any veggie of your choice
Serving Suggestion
- Boiled rice
- Chinese stir fried rice
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 220°C.
- Make teriyaki sauce by mixing everything. Add it to a pan and cool until it comes to a boil.
- In a casserole, add the chicken and the vegetable and mix.
- Pour the teriyaki sauce over it and mix again.
- Cover with a foil and place in the oven.
- Bake at 220°C for 50 minutes using both upper and lower rods.
- After 50 minutes, take the foil off and bake for 10 more minutes.
- Take out and serve with boiled rice. Enjoy!
