Teriyaki Meatballs

Ingredients

  • Chicken Mince 1/2 kg
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper powder 1/2 tsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Ginger paste 1 tsp
  • Soy sauce 1/4 cup
  • Water 1 cup
  • Brown Sugar 2 tbsp
  • Chili sauce 3 tbsp
  • Sesame seeds 1 tbsp
  • Corn Flour 2tbsp + 1/2 cup water
  • Spring onions chopped for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Preparation

  1. Mix chicken mince with salt and pepper and make 15-16 meatballs.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet and add ginger and garlic paste. Sauté until raw smell goes off.
  3. Add meatballs and cook on high heat until golden from the outside.
  4. When done, add soy sauce, brown sugar, water, chili sauce and sesame seeds.
  5. Cook for 10-13 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked through.
  6. Mix corn flour with water to make a slurry.
  7. Add the slurry to the meatballs and stir continuously until the corn flour is cooked and the gravy is glossy.
  8. Dish out, sprinkle sesame seeds and spring onions.
  9. Serve immediately with boiled or Chinese rice. Enjoy!
