Tomato Mutton Keema Curry

  Ingredients

  • Mutton mince 500 grams
  • Desi ghee 1/2 cup
  • Onions 2, finely sliced
  • Green chillies 2-3, chopped
  • Ginger paste 1 tsp
  • Garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chilli powder to taste
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Tomatoes, 3 big sized, chopped
  • Dried fenugreek leaves (kasoori methi) 1 tsp
  • Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  • Fresh coriander leaves 2 tbsp
  • Water as needed

Preparation

  1. Add desi ghee in a cooking pot.
  2. Add onions and green chilies. Fry until start to turn golden.
  3. Add ginger and garlic paste and fry until raw smell goes off.
  4. Add mutton mince and cook on high and roast well until the water from the mince evaporates.
  5. Add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, mix it and roast it for few minutes and cook until oil appears at the sides. At this stage keep roasting until the smell of the mince goes aaway.
  6. Now add add chopped tomatoes, and methi. Mix, add about half cup of water, cover and allow to cook on low until the tomatoes turn soft (about 7-8 minutes).
  7. Add fresh coriander leaves, garam masala and mix.
  8. Cook for few minutes if there is any water remaining.
  9. Switch off the flame.
  10. Serve it with roti, rice or paratha!!!
