Ingredients for 2 large pizzas
Chicken Topping
- Chicken 1 breast, cut into small chunks
- Oil 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper powder to taste
Creamy White Sauce
- Butter 3 tbsp
- Garlic paste 1/2 tsp
- Plain flour 3 tbsp (plz use measuring spoons only)
- Milk 1 + 1/4 cup
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper powder to taste
Dough
- Plain flour 2 cups
- Baking powder 3 tsp
- Yogurt 1 cup
- Salt 1/2 tsp
Other
- Green bell pepper 2 tbsp, chopped
- Red bell pepper 2 tbsp, chopped
- Mozzarella cheese as needed
- Oregano 1/4 tsp
Preparation
- Chicken Topping: In a saucepan, heat oil and add chicken pieces along with salt and pepper. Cook and take the pieces out in a bowl. Keep aside.
- Creamy Pizza Sauce: In the same pan, add butter and garlic. Sauté until aromatic.
- Now add plain flour, cook on lowest flame until flour is cooked but not browned.
- Add milk, salt and pepper and cook, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens. Set aside.
- Dough: Mix plain flour, salt and baking powder. Add yogurt and knead into soft dough.
- NOTE: Dough should be soft and a little sticky.
- Apply oil on the tawa and place it on stove to heat up.
- Flame should be low but not extremely low.
- Dust the surface with a little bit of maida and roll the dough into a pizza. Thickness should be double than regular chapati.
- Place it on the tawa and cook for 3-4 minutes or until you see bubbles on top of the dough and the base is a little bit browned.
- Now turn the pizza dough upside down.
- Turn the flame as low as possible.
- Apply creamy white pizza sauce. Top with chicken pieces, mozzarella cheese, bell peppers and oregano.
- Cover and cook on extremely low flame until the cheese is melted.
- Yummy and quick tawa pizza is ready!
