Dahi Vada / Dahi bhalla/ Dahi bara

Ingredients
Split Green gram (Mong ki daal chilkay wali) ½ cup
Black gram (Maash ki daal) ½ cup
Ginger paste ½ Tsp
Green chili paste ½ Tsp
Salt as per taste
Baking soda (meetha soda) ½ Tsp
Instructions
preparation:
Soak the lentils overnight.
Blend them the next morning with ginger paste and green chili along with the least amount of water possible.
Add salt, baking soda and mix well with a hand mixer or whisk until light in color and fluffy.
Fry dollops of the mixture over a medium flame.
Change sides to get an equal brown color on both sides.
Pour yogurt in a bowl. Add the Vaday. Sprinkle cumin powder, chat masala, mint chutney and imli chutney, mint and salt. Enjoy!
Freezing Instructions:
Put in a zip lock bag and seal it properly, making it air tight.
Put in the freezer.
You can freeze them for up to a month.
When you want to make dahi bara, just take them out from the freezer, do not defrost and just put them in room temperature water for 5 minutes.
