Butter 3 tbsp
All-purpose flour 3 tsp
Water 1 cup
Meat Stock 2 cups
1 Stock cube dissolved in 2 cups of water
Mustard paste 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Pepper powder to taste
Corn flour slurry
Corn flour 1 tsp + Water 1/4 cup
Instructions
STEAK: Grate onion and garlic and mix breadcrumbs in it. Set aside for 5 minutes.
Add the onion mixture and all the other ingredients under “steak” into the mince and mix well.
Shape into 6-7 oval patties and shallow fry on both sides until cooked through.
Take out and set aside.
STEAK SAUCE: Remove excess oil from the pot, leaving only 1 tbsp oil.
Add chopped onion and garlic. Sauté until soft.
Add mushrooms and cook until golden.
Turn the heat down and add butter. Let it melt.
Add all-purpose flour and cook on low until fragrant.
Add a cup of water and mix well until lump free.
Add the meat stock and mix.
Add mustard paste, salt and black pepper powder. Mix and add the steaks.
Cover and cook on low for 5-7 minutes so that the steaks absorb some flavors of the steak sauce. If needed, add some more water.
Add corn flour slurry to the steak sauce and cook until the sauce thickens.
Serve with boiled rice, dinner rolls or mashed potatoes.
Enjoy!
